On Christmas Day, the analysis and data site FiveThirtyEight posted a question on Twitter asking for abortion stories, and many of the responses they received were not in support of abortion. On Twitter, the responses poured in, but a vast number of them were stories about people who had either had an abortion and regretted it, or had chosen life. Some shared stories about rape and sexual assault, describing how the woman chose to give birth instead of abort her child. People also shared stories about adoption when the mother had chosen to give her child to another family who then discussed their gratitude to her for not choosing abortion. Read more......

A coalition of pro-life organizations expressed opposition Wednesday to the confirmation of President Joe Biden’s choice to run the Food and Drug Administration, saying the nominee has used selective research to push approval of mail-order abortion pills and to ignore their risks. The Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee is scheduled to vote on Biden’s nomination of Dr. Robert Califf to be FDA commissioner. Saying it "stands firmly" in support of legalized abortion, a Washington, D.C. restaurant has canceled a pro-life group's booking for its annual "March for Life Breakfast." The group, Democrats for Life of America, scheduled the event at the K Street location of Busboys and Poets, a restaurant-bookstore chain, to coincide with the 49th annual March for Life on Jan. 21. "When our team learned the fundraising nature of the event in question, the decision was made to cancel it and refund all deposits to the event organizer," a spokeswoman for Busboys and Poets said. House Pro-Life Caucus Chairman Chris Smith, R-N.J., outlined a series of measures on Friday that conservatives can pursue as Democrats go for "the jugular" on abortion policy. South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem announced the text of two pro-life bills to protect unborn lives. The first will ban abortions once a child's heartbeat can be detected; the second will ban telemedicine abortions in South Dakota. Abortion advocates are claiming the pro-life movement, including the annual March for Life, is tied to White nationalism, and that those supporting the rights of the unborn might be open to overlooking the racist agendas of White nationalists in favor of solidarity over the controversial issue.
