South Dakota Republicans blocked a pro-life proposal from Gov. Kristi Noem that would ban abortions after a fetal heartbeat can be detected and was modeled after Texas' law that allows private citizens to sue. Republican lawmakers in the state said the bill could "jeopardize" their chances of ultimately getting abortions outlawed in the conservative state. Pro-life Republican House Speaker Spencer Gosch said the bill language proposed by the governor could interfere with a Planned Parenthood legal battle connected to a decade-old law forcing women to go to crisis pregnancy centers before getting an abortion. The law was halted years ago and Noem has vowed to take it to the U.S....

2021 was a year of great fear amongst the radical anti-Life mob that seeks nothing less than the ability to terminate whatever lives they deem unworthy. Not only was this mob afraid of the possibility of overturning Roe v. Wade—which would properly return the issue of abortion to the states—but they also had much to fear from the Texas Heartbeat Act. For these reasons, the anti-Life Biden administration’s Department of Health and Human Services announced the new first-ever “HHS Intra-agency Task Force on Reproductive Healthcare Access” (a fancy government way of saying: “hive of dedicated abortion proponents”). This task force was centered around nice-sounding but misleading phrases like...

From praying regularly at abortion centers, to praying in and outside of church for an end to abortion, to beginning each day with prayer at pregnancy help centers across the country, the pro-life movement puts God front and center in its efforts. Pro-life advocates and pregnancy help servants know that prayer is fundamental in defending and supporting life, not only because people of faith are commanded to pray but also because of the efficacy of prayer in bringing about God's will. Given that His will is for human life to be respected and defended, it follows that regular, fervent prayer will serve the movement that serves women and their families. Read more......

Rep. Nancy Tate, R-Brandenburg filed HB 3 — an omnibus pro-life bill that addresses abortion on minors, medical/chemical abortions, dignified disposal of fetal remains, public funding, and complications. “I’ve collaborated with my colleagues in the General Assembly as well as outside organizations and the end result is a strong and compassionate approach to ensuring that our laws properly reflect the pro-life values held by so many Kentuckians,” Tate said. “The statistics are staggering. In most years, an average of 3,000 abortions are performed in Kentucky, with more than 4,000 procedures occurring in 2020 and only one was attributed as necessary to save the mother’s life. One. Not 1%,...

Rep. Rachel Rodriguez-Williams (R-Cody) is the lead sponsor of a bill that could have a significant effect on Wyoming, depending on a U.S. Supreme Court decision. The freshman legislator who represents part of east Cody and the rural area between Cody and Powell is introducing a so-called "trigger bill" that would make abortions illegal in the state if the Supreme Court repeals Roe v. Wade. More than 20 other states have already passed similar legislation. "I think we do have a pro-life majority House and Senate, so I am feeling pretty optimistic about this bill passing," she said. "The majority of Wyomingites are pro-life." The bill states in part, "An...

In a 16-13 party-line vote, the Arizona Senate passed a pro-life measure protecting unborn children from abortion after 15 weeks of pregnancy, with an exception for medical emergencies. The bill text defines "medical emergency" as "a condition that, on the basis of the physician's good faith clinical judgment, so complicates the medical condition of a pregnant woman as to necessitate the immediate abortion of her pregnancy to avert her death or for which a delay will create serious risk of substantial and irreversible impairment of a major bodily function." The Arizona measure also contains strict provisions attempting to ensure accurate reporting of abortions performed...

The Florida House of Representatives passed a bill protecting unborn children from abortion after 15 weeks of pregnancy. The bill passed with overwhelming support in a nearly party-line 78-39 vote; one Democrat voted for the bill, and one Republican voted against it. Republicans in the Florida Senate have already introduced a companion measure to the bill and are slated to consider it later this month once it is moved out of committee. "Having once been a scared teenage mother myself, I understand the turmoil of a woman facing an unplanned pregnancy," the Senate bill's sponsor Kelli Stargel said. "Women and children deserve better than abortion." Read more......

On the same day that tens of thousands participated in the March for Life, President Joe Biden and his allies announced an aggressive push to expand abortion in the United States and abroad. The vehicle is a Task Force on Reproductive Healthcare Access that will run out of the Department of Health and Human Services, an agency that has control of approximately $1.5 trillion. Secretary of Health of Human Services Xavier Becerra, a Planned Parenthood ally, formed the task force "to prepare a plan outlining measurable actions the agency is considering or will take to protect and bolster access to sexual and reproductive health care." Additionally, the task force will focus on...

President Joe Biden has nominated pro-abortion, anti-religious liberty radical Ketanji Brown Jackson to the Supreme Court. Jackson is currently a judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit. Before she joined the court, Jackson worked as an openly progressive attorney and Obama appointee to the United States Sentencing Commission, where she was committed to forwarding the leftist agenda. More than two decades ago, the Breyer apprentice penned an amicus brief for the National Abortion Rights Action League (NARAL), and other organizations that kill babies in the womb, in support of a Democrat-backed law that prevented pro-life protesters from congregating outside abortion...

The Pennsylvania senator said he would move to advance a bill that would outlaw all state restrictions on abortion. Sen. Bob Casey, D-Pa., released a statement last week that he planned to vote to advance debate on the Women's Health Protection Act, a bill that would outlaw all state restrictions on abortion up until birth. This unequivocal support for an extreme pro-abortion measure constitutes a major reversal for Sen. Casey, a Catholic who still describes himself as "pro-life" despite a mixed voting record and whose father was a staunch pro-life advocate. Read more......

Pro-Life groups in Wisconsin on Monday questioned whether Gov. Tony Evers legally awarded about $2.4 million in federal stimulus money to Planned Parenthood, a move they claimed violated a state law prohibiting the funding of abortions. The groups, represented by the conservative Wisconsin Institute for Law & Liberty, also said the grant programs appeared to be unlawfully created and unlawfully administered. The letter sought more information from Evers, a Democrat, about how the legality of creating two grant programs without approval from the Republican-controlled Legislature and awarding the grants to Planned Parenthood. Senate Democrats’ decision to advance the deceptively titled “Women’s Health Protection Act” may play well with the abortion lobby. But for the rest of America – and especially Catholics – the move reveals Democrats’ ultimate endgame - an extreme abortion regime, stripped of all moderation and restraint, beyond what any country has previously decreed. Backed by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and endorsed by President Joe Biden, both of whom are practicing Catholics, the bill has been called by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops “the most radical abortion bill of all time.” Better named “The Abortion On Demand Until Birth Act,” it goes far beyond codifying Roe v. Wade into federal...
