In a great victory for the pro-life movement, the number of abortions in Texas has fallen an astounding 97 percent following the overturning of Roe v. Wade. The U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe on June 24, 2022. According to new data from the Texas Health and Human Services Commission, in July 2022 – the first full month following Roe's reversal – only 68 abortions took place in the entire state of Texas. In July 2021, there were 4,879 abortions in Texas, or around 150 per day. After Roe's reversal, Texas' Trigger Law went into effect, prohibiting all abortion in the state. Read more......

A pro-abortion activism group has threatened to "shoot up" a Nebraska pro-life organization if a sanctuary city initiative is passed and their "right" to abort babies is taken away. Students for Life Action team members arrived at a workshop held at St. John Paul II Newman Center in Bellevue, Nebraska this weekend when they found a note posted on the front door. "If our right to abortion in Bellevue is taken away due to the attempt to pass an abortion ban and it gets passed we will shoot up your Newman center with our new AR14 rifles," it read. After the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade and returned to states the right to make laws governing abortion, initiatives to secure sanctuary cities for the unborn are multiplying. The city of Pueblo, Colorado, narrowly passed the first reading of a proposed ordinance that would ban abortions within city limits. Before the Supreme Court's reversal of Roe last June, Colorado lawmakers passed the so-called Reproductive Health Equity Act that declares every individual has a "fundamental right" to abortion or contraception. Replacing the term "pro-choice" and "pro-abortion" with "abortion-rights" inaccurately implies that women have a right to end the life of the child growing in their womb. The Associated Press Stylebook's decision to replace the term "pro-life" with "anti-abortion" is another attempt from the left to paint the pro-life community in a negative light. The new phrasing is not reflective of the pro-life community that exists today, a community that consists of millions of Americans, more than 3,000 pregnancy care centers, and thousands who give of their time and resources every day to journey with women during and after unplanned pregnancies. Most registered voters in Tennessee want exceptions for rape or incest in the state's sweeping abortion ban, but they largely don't know the specifics of what's in the law as it stands today, according to new Vanderbilt University polling. The disconnect comes in a state that votes consistently for Republicans and has one of the strictest abortion bans in the country. Two pro-life activists have been accused by the Department of Justice (DOJ) of violating the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act. Defendants Bevelyn Williams and Edmee Chavannes of Tennessee are charged in connection with "a multi-year campaign to interfere with individuals seeking to obtain and provide lawful reproductive health services in New York and in several other states." A fervently anti-abortion priest who placed an aborted fetus on a church altar and posted an online video of it has been defrocked by the Vatican for his "blasphemous communications on social media." Frank Pavone, head of the anti-abortion group Priests for Life, was booted from the priesthood by the church Nov. 9 — with no chance for an appeal. "Rev. A charity volunteer was arrested after she told police she "might" be praying silently when they asked why she was standing on a public street near an abortion facility, according to a report from Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF) UK. Isabel Vaughan-Spruce, the Director of the UK March for Life, was standing near the BPAS Robert Clinic in Kings Norton, Birmingham in an area ADF UK called a "censorship zone," when police approached her after an onlooker complained she might be praying outside the abortion facility the report said.
