Proposed Amendment to Add Abortion Protection to Delaware Constitution Does Not Advance

A proposed amendment to the Delaware state constitution that would codify a right to abortion did not receive a vote in the state House of Representatives on the final day of the legislative calendar. This marked the end of the two-year General Assembly session, ending the bill's prospects for passage for now. The measure passed the Senate in March 2025 by a vote of 15-6, one greater than the two-thirds majority required for a constitutional amendment. Under the Delaware constitution, the bill would have to pass the house by the same majority. It would then have to pass in both houses again after the next general election. Read more......

National Right to Life Alarmed as Federal Funding for the Abortion Industry Resumes

As the one-year prohibition on certain federal Medicaid payments to abortion providers expires on July 4, National Right to Life expressed deep concern that taxpayer dollars will once again be available to subsidize organizations whose business depends on abortion, including Planned Parenthood, the nation's largest abortion provider. "The resumption of taxpayer funding for the abortion industry is alarming," said Carol Tobias, president of National Right to Life. "For decades, Americans have objected to being forced to subsidize organizations that profit from abortion." Read more......

The 14th Amendment Case for Protecting Unborn Children Nationwide

The Amendment states that born people are a class of citizens, but the word "person" precedes that. So are human beings before birth persons? Pro-life advocates, of course, answer yes. They might respond in the phrasing of famed author Dr. Seuss: "A person's a person, no matter how small." And with good reason. A modern dictionary definition doesn't rule the unborn out. Same-Sex Canadian Couple Sues Surrogate Mother Who Refused to Have an Abortion

A same-sex Canadian couple is suing the surrogate mother who carried their son after she refused their request to abort the preborn baby over signs of a cleft lip and possible health problems. The dispute began about two years ago when an ultrasound raised concerns about the unborn child’s health. The two men asked the Ontario woman carrying the child to have an abortion at about 22 weeks of pregnancy. She refused. Read more......

Lindsey Graham Was a Fierce Defender of the Pro-Life Cause

Lindsey Graham approached every pro-life battle with the tenacity of the Air Force JAG colonel he was. He spent years working to pass the Unborn Victims of Violence Act, first in the House and then the Senate. Enacted after the heartbreaking murder of Laci Peterson and her unborn son Conner, the Act defines “unborn child” as a child in utero at any stage of development and ensures that, when unborn children are injured or killed in a federal crime committed against a pregnant woman, they are recognized as individual victims. Right to Life Can't Be Forced to Hire Pro-Abortion Employees, Judge Says

A federal district court judge issued a preliminary injunction to two Michigan anti-abortion organizations in their challenge to a state employment law that would require them to recruit and hire candidates with beliefs on abortion that do not align with the groups, as well as requiring them to cover abortion care in employee pregnancy benefits plans. The lawsuit, filed by Right to Life of Michigan and the Pregnancy Resource Center in Grand Rapids against Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel, the Michigan Department of Civil Rights and members of the Civil Rights Commission, alleges that the Elliott-Larsen Civil Rights Act violates the first amendment protections of these groups by imposing...

Yes, Abortion Amendments Do Invalidate Pro-Life Laws: Just Look at Missouri

A significant pro-life legal battle is unfolding in Missouri, and it demonstrates exactly what's at stake when an abortion amendment is approved and added to a state constitution. At issue is whether states may continue to enforce longstanding health and safety regulations governing abortionists or whether those legal protections will be deemed unconstitutional under adopted state constitutional language. In 2024, Missouri approved Amendment 3, which enshrined abortion in the state constitution. Following its passage, Planned Parenthood filed a legal challenge to invalidate numerous statutes governing abortion. Read more......

Pro-Life Group Pushes EPA to Regulate Mifepristone in Water

Students for Life of America urged the Environmental Protection Agency to consider regulating levels of the abortion drug mifepristone in drinking water. Mifepristone can enter water supplies when women flush the remains of pre-born children aborted by use of the drug. The pro-life activist group said it submitted a peer-reviewed study published this week in the journal Issues of Law & Medicine for EPA review, as an advisory committee is determining whether to recommend changes to the Safe Drinking Water Act. When 'Choice' Only Goes One Way

New York Attorney General Letitia James alleges that pregnancy help organizations violate state consumer protection laws by telling women about Abortion Pill Reversal (APR), a perfectly legal medical protocol that may help women who regret taking the first drug in a chemical abortion to continue their pregnancies. Heartbeat and its co-plaintiffs have challenged the attorney general’s actions, arguing that the state is violating their constitutional rights by attempting to silence protected speech and restrict women from receiving information about a lawful medical option. DOJ Settles With Pro-Life Father of 11 Arrested in a Predawn Raid

Paul Vaughn has reached a settlement with the federal government after being singled out and targeted by the Biden Department of Justice for his pro-life beliefs. This included a predawn FBI raid on his family’s home and a federal prosecution all stemming from praying, singing hymns, and peacefully protesting at an abortion facility in Tennessee. Vaughn, a devoted Christian father of 11 and pro-life advocate, was among a wave of Americans singled out and prosecuted under the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act by the Biden Department of Justice because of their pro-life views. Armed FBI agents descended on his home in the early morning hours, terrifying his family—including his...
