A Michigan federal judge dismissed a lawsuit that several pro-life groups and three Republican lawmakers had filed in hopes of overturning a 2022 amendment that added a right to abortion to the state constitution. U.S. District Judge Paul Maloney ruled that the pro-life plaintiffs lacked standing to bring a case against the amendment, known as Proposal 3. Right to Life of Michigan and four other pro-life organizations — the American Association of Pro-Life Obstetricians and Gynecologists, Christian Medical and Dental Associations, Crossroads Care Center, and Save the 1 — brought the lawsuit against Democratic Gov.
