A North Carolina representative wants to classify abortions as murder. House Bill 1232 or Life At Fertilization would rewrite the state law to include a fetus as human life and allow someone to use deadly force to stop an abortion. Representative Keith Kidwell is the primary sponsor. He's known for controversial proposals like permit-less gun carry. Representative Ben Moss was a sponsor but removed his name after public pressure. In a letter, the Rep. from Moore County said, "portions of the bill's current language have led to significant misunderstandings and different misinterpretations that distract from the core pro-life message and intent."
